QQuantic Brains
Quantic Brains is a Madrid-based artificial intelligence company that builds AI 'brains' for 3D characters. Its technology lets film, animation and video game creators automate character behaviours such as talking, walking, swimming and fighting, as well as interactions with other characters and with smart objects in a scene. The company says this can cut content-production costs by up to 90%. It was founded in 2021 by Manuel Lucania, Roy Conan Alonso and Julio Covacho, was incubated by Demium, and appeared in TechCrunch Disrupt's Startup Battlefield in 2023. It raised a €133,000 first round in August 2021 and a €300,000 second round in March 2022. Investors include Demium's Think Bigger Fund I, business angels Andrés Echecopar and Xavier Soucheiron, and filmmakers Javier and Guillermo Fesser. The company also received public funding from ENISA and CDTI.
