Vacway is a Barcelona-based company that designs, makes and runs automated self-service systems for leisure venues with many visitors, such as theme parks, water parks, ski resorts, hotels, shopping centres and events. Its range includes VacwayLockers, which are smart lockers with touchscreens, contactless payment and cloud management software; VacwayOne and VacwayMini machines that seal smartphones in waterproof covers; and VacwayKiosk self-service ticketing kiosks. Customers include PortAventura World, Ferrari Land, Parque Warner, Isla Mágica, Baqueira Beret and Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife, and the company reports more than 30,000 lockers installed in over 10 European countries. Three engineers from Menorca founded Vacway in 2017. In November 2022 it raised €1.5M from Zamit Capital, the growth fund managed by GVC Gaesco, to expand its smart locker business internationally.
