Plant on Demand (Pod) is a Valencia-based agritech company that builds a SaaS platform for small and medium-sized food producers that sell directly or through short supply chains. The platform handles e-commerce, orders, customer management, stock tracking, invoicing, payments, logistics and traceability. Its customers are horticultural, fruit, dairy and livestock producers, food artisans, cooperatives and food hubs, and it also supplies institutional buyers such as schools, hospitals and company canteens. More than 200 producer projects and 400 agricultural operations use the platform, and it has more than 8,500 registered consumers. The company was founded in 2018 and raised €100,000 in its first round from Grupo Dacsa after taking part in the KM ZERO Food Innovation Hub programme. In December 2022 it closed a €573,500 round led by the French impact fund Makesense, with Bolsa Social, Dacsa and ENISA co-investing.
