PlayJoy Games is a Valencia-based developer of traditional and social casino games. Its PlayJoy app runs on mobile, tablet and web, and puts classic Spanish card and board games such as Chinchón, Parchís, Dominó, Tute, Brisca and Chúpate 2 together with chat and social networking features. The company was founded in 2018 by former Akamon Entertainment founders and staff and was incubated at No Spoon Lab. It passed 300,000 registered users in 2020, mostly in Spain, and has expanded into Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Russia. In early 2021 it closed a €330,000 seed round made up of business angels, including Jonatan Fatelevich and ESAT, earlier partners, and a participating loan from the Instituto Valenciano de Finanzas (IVF).
