Timpers
Timpers is an Alicante-based inclusive footwear brand that designs sneakers by touch with blind designers and makes them in the province of Alicante. Its shoes carry braille-embroidered branding, contrasting textures and round no-knot laces. It sells mainly direct-to-consumer through its own online store, with some wholesale and multi-brand retail. Roberto Mohedano, Aitor Carratalá and Diego Soliveres, all of whom live with a disability, founded the company in 2018, and it sets out to create jobs for people with disabilities. Timpers joined Juan Roig's Lanzadera accelerator in 2019 and raised €150,000 from Angels, Roig's investment company, in 2021. Its sneakers were worn by the Spanish Paralympic team at the Tokyo Games. Revenue grew from €60,000 in 2019 to €240,000 in 2020 and about €700,000 in 2022. The company announced it was closing in May 2026 and sold off its remaining stock.
