BBMAT Music Innovators
BMAT Music Innovators is a Barcelona-based music technology company that indexes music usage and ownership data. It monitors and reports how music is used across TV, radio, venues and digital services worldwide. Its audio-fingerprinting and data-matching technology gives collective management organisations, record labels, publishers, broadcasters and digital service providers the usage reports they need for royalty distribution and licensing. The company serves more than 100 collective management organisations and over 2,000 labels, publishers, DSPs and broadcasters in 134 countries. It processes around 80 million identifications a day. BMAT was founded in 2006 as a spin-off of the Music Technology Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and grew largely bootstrapped. In 2022 it received growth financing from Tresmares Capital.
