CCOFIDES
COFIDES (Compañía Española de Financiación del Desarrollo) is a Madrid-based Spanish state-owned development finance institution founded in 1988, with a public-private shareholder base led by the Spanish state. It provides medium- and long-term financing, including equity, quasi-equity and loans, for viable private projects linked to Spanish interests in Spain and abroad. It invests from its own balance sheet and manages state funds including FIEX, FONPYME, FIEM, FONPRODE and FONREC. It also managed the €2bn Co-investment Fund (FOCO) and the Social Impact Fund (FIS) under Spain's Recovery Plan, fully committing their €2.4bn across 65 operations by July 2026 and mobilising more than €8.6bn of investment, including fund commitments to managers such as Azora, Eurazeo and Impact Bridge.
