Kantox builds Currency Management Automation software for corporate treasury and finance teams, automating the pre-trade, trade and post-trade stages of the foreign-exchange workflow across more than 120 currencies. Its products, including Dynamic Hedging, let mid-sized and large companies hedge FX risk and handle international payments on a software-plus-liquidity model, and the platform processed around $18 billion in corporate FX volume in 2022. The company was founded in Barcelona in 2011 by Philippe Gelis, Antonio Rami and John Carbajal, and has offices in London and Barcelona. It raised more than €30 million through Seed, Series A (€6.4M, 2014), Series B (€10M, 2015, led by Partech and Idinvest) and Series C (2017, with Eurazeo/Idinvest, Partech and Alma Mundi Ventures) rounds, before BNP Paribas acquired it for about €120 million in a deal agreed in October 2022 and completed in July 2023; it now operates as an independent BNP Paribas subsidiary.
