Constella Intelligence, formerly 4iQ, is an identity risk intelligence company. It helps organisations detect, investigate and respond to threats that come from exposed personal data and compromised digital identities across the surface, deep and dark web. It sells through an Identity Data API for product and developer teams and the Hunter+ digital risk protection platform for security analysts. Both draw on a breach and infostealer data lake spanning more than one trillion attributes in over 125 countries. It serves identity theft protection providers, financial institutions, telecoms, e-commerce, the public sector and law enforcement, with partners including Telefónica and ProtonMail. Julio Casal, co-founder of AlienVault, founded 4iQ in 2016, with operations in Madrid and Silicon Valley. It raised a $14M Series A led by Trident Capital Cybersecurity (now ForgePoint Capital) with Adara Ventures and Telefónica Ventures, an $18M Series B led by C5 Capital in 2018 and a $30M Series C led by ForgePoint Capital and Benhamou Global Ventures in 2020, for roughly $62M in total. In December 2020 it merged with Madrid-based Alto Analytics and rebranded as Constella Intelligence.
