Earlybird Venture Capital is a Berlin-based pan-European venture capital firm founded in 1997 by Dr. Hendrik Brandis and Dr. Christian Nagel, with offices in Munich, London and Milan and around €2.5B in assets under management. It invests in technology companies from pre-seed to Series A, with most of its first checks at seed and initial tickets of up to €12M. Its focus areas are AI applications and foundation models, software infrastructure and deep tech, including aerospace, energy and robotics. In April 2026 it closed its eighth early-stage fund, Fund VIII, at €360M, its largest to date. Its portfolio includes UiPath, N26, Black Forest Labs, Aleph Alpha, Isar Aerospace and Marvel Fusion, and the firm counts 9 IPOs and 41 trade sales among its exits.
