VerdiX

verdix.eu ↗ ·Salamanca ·Pre-seed

VerdiX is a Salamanca-based agritech start-up whose AI platform links Spanish farmers and livestock producers with public subsidies. It checks basic farm data against open grant calls, including EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) aid, and tracks more than 500 subsidies. It explains the rules in plain language, sends personalised alerts and works offline for rural areas with poor connectivity. Applications are filed through specialist management firms, and producers can try the service free through a WhatsApp bot. The company began in October 2025 through the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca's UPSA Emprende programme. It won the programme's Acelera category in April 2026 and the regional phase of the Santander X Awards 2025 for university start-ups.

Propel
United States · www.propel.app ↗
A free mobile app that helps people manage and claim public benefits (SNAP/EBT). It shares VerdiX's model of helping users navigate government aid, but it serves low-income consumers rather than farmers and earns its money from fintech and partner offers.

Instrumentl
United States · www.instrumentl.com ↗
A SaaS platform that matches each organisation's profile against open grant opportunities, sends personalised alerts and manages applications, which is the same discovery-and-alert model aimed at nonprofits instead of farmers.

Boast
Uses AI to work out which government innovation funding (R&D tax credits) a business qualifies for and to prepare the claims, the same AI-driven government-funding capture model aimed at tech companies instead of agricultural producers.

FarmRaise
United States · www.farmraise.com ↗
The closest match: a platform that checks farmers' eligibility against a database of more than 1,000 federal and state agricultural grant and aid programmes, then helps them apply. It is essentially VerdiX's model for US producers.

Haqdarshak
A tech platform that matches rural and low-income Indians, including farmers, with more than 7,500 government welfare and subsidy schemes, explained in local languages and filed through field agents. This mirrors VerdiX's eligibility-matching and assisted-filing model.
