Altum Sequencing is a precision oncology company that develops liquid biopsy tests to guide cancer therapy and monitor measurable residual disease through ultra-sensitive analysis of circulating tumour DNA. Its next-generation sequencing assays, DxPanels, TRACKseq, EVOseq and DUALseq, cover baseline profiling, residual disease tracking, resistance detection and monitoring of cell-based therapies. It serves hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organisations. The company was founded in Madrid in 2019 by haematologists and oncologists from Hospital 12 de Octubre and is based in Leganés. It holds ISO 15189 accreditation and had analysed more than 6,000 clinical and research samples by 2024. It is backed by Ship2B's S2B Health&Care programme and has received public funding through CDTI NEOTEC and an ENISA participative loan. In 2026 it was the overall winner of Alhambra Venture and won Best Product at The Ventures Spain.
Sells ctDNA liquid-biopsy NGS tests for therapy selection (Guardant360), residual disease (Guardant Reveal) and response monitoring to oncologists, hospitals and biopharma, the same model as Altum's DxPanels and TRACKseq at much larger scale.
Came out of a cancer research centre (Cambridge) and sells ultra-sensitive ctDNA NGS assays (InVisionFirst for profiling, RaDaR for MRD) to clinicians and pharma partners, exactly Altum's profiling-plus-MRD model; NeoGenomics bought it in 2021.
Ultra-sensitive whole-genome ctDNA MRD detection and treatment-response monitoring sold to cancer centres and pharma trials, matching Altum's TRACKseq residual-disease offer; Veracyte bought it in 2024.
Academic spin-out (Johns Hopkins) selling an ultra-sensitive personalised ctDNA MRD test (Haystack Duo) to guide therapy and monitor response, the same clinician-founded MRD model as Altum; Quest Diagnostics bought it in 2023.
