TTime is Brain
Time is Brain (TIB) is a Barcelona-based medtech company founded in 2020 as a spin-off of the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute by three neurologists. It develops BraiN20®, a portable real-time neuro-monitoring device and AI-powered 'Real-Time Stroke Intelligence' platform that continuously tracks brain function across the acute ischaemic stroke pathway (pre-hospital triage, ER evaluation, in-hospital treatment) to guide faster, personalised clinical decisions. In July 2026 it announced CE/MDR approval for BraiN20® alongside an oversubscribed €3M Pre-Series A round to fund European commercial rollout; earlier backing came from Ayce Capital, Capital Cell, Lavanda Ventures (Puig family) and Banco Sabadell's BStartup Health, and it won the EIT Health Catapult competition.
