Madrid-based urban hostel and boutique-hotel operator Room007 closed a €5 million round from Banco Santander's Fondo Smart, part of a framework agreement to finance up to €25 million of expansion covering seven to ten new openings in 2023-2024 across Spain, Portugal and Italy. Separately, the company had raised €7.5 million in equity a few months earlier, taking first-half 2023 financing to about €12.5 million; no venture stage was disclosed for this deal.
