Bewater Funds invested €555,000 in Product Hackers through two vehicles created for the deal, Bewater Product Hackers FICC (registered with the CNMV as Bewater Product Hackers, FCRE) and Renta 4 Bewater I FCR, taking a minority stake; the operation combined primary capital and a secondary purchase of existing shares. It was the first outside capital for the company, which had been bootstrapped since its 2016 founding and expected to more than double revenue to over €3M in 2022; no stage label was given by the company or press, and Bewater announced it on 6 June 2022 with Spanish coverage following on 7-8 June. No further rounds have been announced since - subsequent growth came from operations and M&A (the 2024 acquisition of Libros.com, which included assuming around €200,000 of its debt, and the launch of the AI Hackers vertical), not from new funding.
