El Economista reported that Roams had raised a €1M financing round from Banco Santander and Iberaval earlier in 2024 to build out its Roams VIP concierge service and launch its own MVNO in early 2025. This was bank financing rather than equity; a related El Economista piece in June 2025 described €1.3M provided in late 2023 by Santander, BBVA, CaixaBank and Laboral Kutxa for the same Roams VIP launch, and Sodical had signed a participative loan with Roams TIC in May 2017 alongside an ENISA loan the same year.
