Roams is a Spanish digital comparison and advisory platform that helps consumers optimise recurring household bills — mobile/internet/TV, energy, insurance, finance and home alarms — monetising through affiliate and lead-generation agreements with providers such as Movistar, Vodafone, Orange and MasOrange. Founded in 2013 and based in Palencia, it has served millions of users in Spain and Mexico, layers proprietary AI plus human 'personal managers' over its comparison engine (Roams VIP), and in 2024-2025 raised ~€1M (Banco Santander, Iberaval, plus an equity-crowdfunding round) to launch its own MVNO. It was named one of the 100 most promising startups at Web Summit 2024 and holds a Great Place to Work certification. Funding has come mainly from banks, public bodies (ENISA, Sodical/Junta de Castilla y León) and crowdfunding rather than institutional VC.
