FFunos
Funos is Spain's first online price comparator and marketplace for funeral services, letting families compare quotes from more than 1,000 funeral homes and typically saving around 50% (roughly €2,500 on the funeral plus €2,500 on related services). Beyond the comparator it sells death insurance (seguros de decesos), funeral financing, inheritance and post-death paperwork management, repatriations and commemorative videos, earning commissions from funeral homes and insurers rather than charging families. Founded in 2021 by Marc Vallhonesta after his events business collapsed during Covid, it operates under the legal entity Alfa Lab Ventures, SL, raised a €600K angel round (plus a €180K ENISA loan) and reported ~€940K of turnover in 2023. It is headquartered in Barcelona and serves Madrid.
