Cebiotex closed a €2.2M round, above its €1.6M target, to continue the CEB-01 clinical trials in adult patients and prepare trials in children. The round includes the €750K equity-crowdfunding tranche on Capital Cell (174 investors, 125% of its €600K goal) that was announced as closed in December 2020 (the €750K round of 2020-12-22 already on record). The rest came from existing shareholders and new private investors, and no lead was named. The company pitched the round as a step towards a €5-10M Series A, after its planned €4M international Series A was halted by COVID-19 in 2020.
