Batea Oncology — Seed · €750k

Galician biotech Batea Oncology, founded in 2024 with the Hospital Clínico Universitario and the Health Research Institute of Santiago, brought Unirisco and Xesgalicia onto its cap table in a €750k seed round that also included business angels channelled through the Capital Cell platform, with no single lead named. It is developing GlioHook, a device implanted during surgery that captures residual glioblastoma cells and sensitises them to radiotherapy, with a pilot clinical trial planned for late 2026.
