Madrid-based Luzia, an AI assistant distributed through WhatsApp and Telegram plus its own app, raised $19M (about €18M) led by Brazilian fund monashees, with Khosla Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, A* and Pau Gasol participating. The company grew from 17 million users in October 2023 to roughly 40 million and planned to open a Barcelona office and pass 50 employees by year-end.
