Surphase, a University of the Basque Country spin-off that detects membrane fouling in desalination plants, was announced as a recipient of €2.5 million of European Innovation Council EIC Accelerator funding, one of only six Spanish companies and the only Basque one selected in the March 2024 call. The award is EIC programme funding rather than a priced venture round.
