Centro de Protonterapia Quirónsalud
The Centro de Protonterapia Quirónsalud is Spain's first proton therapy centre, opened in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid) and treating its first patients in December 2019 using an IBA Proteus ONE compact system with pencil beam scanning and cone-beam CT imaging. It is operated by Quirónsalud, Spain's largest private hospital group (owned by Fresenius Helios), serves both private and publicly referred patients, and has capacity for roughly 800 patients per year.
