PPyroistech
Pyroistech is a Spanish optoelectronics company that designs and manufactures fiber-coupled light sources (LED, SLED, multi-LED, halogen) and optical interrogators for universities, labs and research centres, plus custom optical/spectroscopy-based analysis systems for industry. Its second business line applies optical spectroscopy and AI to quality control in the agri-food sector (e.g. sugar content, composition, defect detection), with additional applications in gas detection and medical sensing. Founded in 2018 out of the Optical Fiber Sensors research group at the Public University of Navarra (UPNA) and recognised as a UPNA spin-off in 2019, it is a small deep-tech team (~6-7 people) based in Pamplona; it went through the BerriUp accelerator in 2023 and counts Viscofan and several European and Mexican universities among its customers.
