Arboribus
Arboribus was a Barcelona-based crowdlending platform launched in 2013 that let individual and institutional investors make direct loans to established Spanish SMEs (companies with at least two years of proven profitability), bypassing traditional bank intermediation. It financed roughly 400 companies for close to €20M before ceasing new operations in March 2019 and definitively shutting down activity on November 30, 2020 due to loan-portfolio delinquency.
