Parlem Telecom is a Catalan telecommunications operator founded in Barcelona in 2014 that sells mobile, fibre broadband, fixed-line and TV services to consumers and businesses, positioning itself as a locally rooted, Catalan-language alternative to the big Spanish telcos. It is not a venture-stage startup: it has been listed on BME Growth (ticker PAR) since 2019 and grew largely by acquiring smaller regional operators. In 2026 its merger with Avatel collapsed, the CEO resigned, and the company announced a recapitalisation and divestment of underperforming business lines, so it is in restructuring rather than growth mode; founder Ernest Pérez-Mas has resumed executive duties as executive chairman.
