AGUIA (Galician for "eagle") is a Spanish deep-tech startup based in Galicia that builds Smart Pavement Analytics (SPA), an AI and computer-vision platform that analyzes drone-captured aerial imagery to inspect road pavement, detect defects (cracks, potholes) and compute standardized Pavement Condition Index (PCI, ASTM D6433-23) ratings for infrastructure asset management. Founded by two aeronautical engineers, it operates in the road/infrastructure inspection and asset-management sector and has run inspection projects for regional road networks including in the Community of Madrid. It is an investee company of the Galician public venture vehicle Xesgalicia and has participated in the Business Factory Aero (BFAero) aerospace accelerator program.
