AApeiron Intelligence
Apeiron Intelligence is a Barcelona-based deeptech startup, spun off in 2025 from the Theoretical and Computational Nanoscience Group at ICN2 (Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) and ICREA. It builds an AI-driven materials and device simulation platform (SynoChains) that turns expert-only atomic-scale modelling — DFT and linear-scaling methods able to handle systems of up to a trillion atoms — into automated, drag-and-drop workflows, cutting simulation times from months to minutes for semiconductors, advanced materials, quantum devices, aerospace and automotive. It raised €660,000 (~$751K) in its first investment round announced June 2026, is advised by Nobel laureate Sir Kostya Novoselov and experts from Cambridge, EPFL and Texas Instruments, and exhibited at MWC Doha/Barcelona.
