Ars Magna Semiconductors

Ars Magna Semiconductors is a University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) spin-off approved by the university's Governing Council on 11 June 2026, created by deep-science investor BeAble Capital in its industry-builder role. It designs AI chips built from scratch for resource-constrained edge environments, combining morphological neural networks and stochastic computing to run machine learning locally with very low energy consumption, in real time and with better data privacy — decentralising AI and easing the AI-hardware shortage. It is backed by two UIB patent families (a third in progress) developed since 2020 at the Institute of Applied Computing and Community Code / AI Institute, and raised €180K from BeAble Capital at creation. It is based in Palma de Mallorca.
