Idrosun

Idrosun (operated by Idro Protect SL, brand also written iDroSun) is a Barcelona-based startup that builds connected, contactless sunscreen dispensers for outdoor spaces — hotels, resorts, golf and tennis clubs, nautical clubs, beaches, theme parks, festivals and corporate outdoor sites. The devices are manufactured in Catalonia (Montcada i Reixac) and sold B2B as hardware plus sealed sunscreen refills, with IoT connectivity that tracks cream levels in real time, analyses usage patterns and optimises refill logistics; the company also pushes a circular-economy angle by reusing refill containers. It validated the model through 50+ pilots, claims 120+ business clients, and in 2026 closed a €250,000 round from business angels to reach ~1,000 active dispensers and start Mediterranean/international expansion. No investor fund names were disclosed in the round.
