Vixion Connected Factory

Vixion Connected Factory was a Basque industrial IoT/Industry 4.0 deeptech based in Astigarraga (Gipuzkoa), founded in late 2017 as a joint venture between industrial software firm SPYRO and the technology centre TECNALIA Research & Innovation, and backed by Tecnalia Ventures' deeptech venture builder. Its platform (Vixion Edge/Cloud, later evolved into HORUS NX) connected CNC/PLC machine tools to a cloud layer for OEE monitoring, data analytics, predictive maintenance and digital twins, with machine-tool makers Zayer, Ibarmia, Nicolás Correa and Ona involved from the start. The company no longer operates independently: machine-tool manufacturer Zayer entered its capital in Feb 2024, Tecnalia exited in June 2025, and in January 2026 Zayer's subsidiary Horus Data Solutions, S.L.U. acquired Vixion's productive unit out of insolvency for €15,000 plus ~€51.7k in employee indemnities; vixion360.com now serves the HORUS NX brand. It was a ~2-10 person Basque Country operation whose founders were its two corporate parents.
