Aura Pay

Aura Pay is a Madrid-based fintech that provides digital payment and remittance services for migrants, focused on money transfers from Spain and the United States to Latin America and the Caribbean. Its fully digital platform lets users pay, send and receive money at lower fees than traditional remittance providers, and it also offers its transfer technology to businesses, with Mastercard added to its payment network. In 2025 the company expanded to the United States, where it operates in several states including New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas and Illinois. Aura Pay was founded in 2021 by Jesús Javier Guevara Monjes and Sebastián Barrera through the Demium programme in Madrid, and it has raised about $2.65M: a €530,000 pre-seed round in 2022 backed by Demium's Think Bigger Fund I and the family office Casa Santo Domingo, followed by a later round of up to €2M with investors including VujaDe Ventures.
