Arbor Fintech is a Madrid-based fintech that built Arbor, a mobile financial wellness app that helps consumers in Spain save, invest and pay down debt automatically. The app connects to users' existing bank accounts and moves money into savings through rules such as rounding up card purchases, recurring transfers, saving a share of salary and time-bound savings challenges. Savings are held through the regulated payment institution Lemonway, and investing in diversified ETF portfolios comes with Arbor Gold, a subscription tier. The company was founded in 2017 by Nicholas Salguero, Samuel Benelbas and Ignacio Bautista Cuervo. It grew past 150,000 users, was named in KPMG's Fintech 100 ranking, and built the B-Bites savings app with Mapfre. In December 2019 it raised a €3 million seed round from FinRebel, The Tifin Group and APEX Capital Partners, having earlier been backed by Seedrocket and Tetuan Valley.
