Capri Bikes

Capri Bikes is a Gijón-based maker of urban bicycles, designing minimalist, classic-style city bikes and electric bikes that are built in Europe and sold direct to consumers online. Its electric models use a discreet, canister-shaped battery weighing 1.16 kg that gives up to 40 km of range. The brand belongs to Lovelybikes S.L., which also runs the online bicycle shop Biciclasica.com. The company was founded in 2014 by Andrés Maldonado and Nina de Mier, and it sells mainly to customers in Germany, France and Spain. In October 2021 it closed a €250,000 round led by Sociedad Regional de Promoción del Principado de Asturias (SRP), after an earlier €200,000 capital injection from SRP, and it later raised money through an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube.
