Sociedad Regional de Promoción del Principado de Asturias (SRP) is a Llanera-based public venture capital and economic development company, founded in 1984 and majority-owned by the Principality of Asturias, with Unicaja Banco, EDP España and regional businesses as minority shareholders. It invests through equity stakes and participatory loans in Asturian start-ups and established companies, as well as in companies setting up in the region, with a focus on innovative and technology-based projects, internationalisation and projects of special regional interest. It co-manages the Fondo Asturias Startup with CEEI Asturias, which offers convertible participatory loans of €50,000–200,000. It also manages the €10M Alantre business consolidation fund and the RuralTech vehicle Paraíso Natural Ventures, and at year-end 2025 its active portfolio stood at €52.8M. Portfolio companies include Guppy, Plexigrid, Dogram, Iturcemi, Esnova Racks, Toy Zone, Aquacria SeaEight and Proasur.
