Proage by LFL is a Gijón-based health and nutrition company that researches, develops, manufactures and sells functional foods and nutritional supplements for healthy, proactive ageing. Its products are 100% vegan, gluten-free and hypoallergenic, and include the ProAge On and ON+ protein shakes, designed as supplements for low-FODMAP diets and for people with digestive conditions, and the ProAge Pills capsule range. It also offers personalised treatments prescribed by doctors, and is building a digital platform where healthcare professionals can take training courses, run video consultations, manage their schedules and prescribe to patients online. The company was founded in Gijón in 2022 by family physician Virginia (Viki) Blanco Mayo. It is backed by Asturias' public development agency SRP through a €100,000 participatory loan within a €340,000 investment plan, and by regional support programmes from IDEPA, the Gijón Chamber of Commerce and ImpulsaGijón.
