EcoScooting is a Madrid-based last-mile delivery company that delivers parcels for e-commerce businesses and logistics operators using electric motorcycles, bicycles and low-emission vehicles. It runs its own technology platform that lets recipients choose the delivery date and time slot. The company started in Madrid in 2015 as a restaurant food-delivery service with €10,000 in initial capital and was part of the Cooltra group. It expanded to cities including Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Málaga and Lisbon, and forecast €4.5 million in revenue for 2018. In January 2022 it was acquired by Cainiao, Alibaba's logistics arm, and became AliExpress's official eco-friendly delivery partner in Iberia. Under Cainiao its network grew to cover about 60% of Spain's population.
