Kima Ventures
Kima Ventures is the Paris-based venture investment vehicle of French entrepreneur Xavier Niel. It was founded in 2010 and invests Niel's own capital rather than a closed-end fund. It is one of the world's most active early-stage investors, backing around 100 start-ups a year at pre-seed and seed across all tech sectors, mainly with a fixed first ticket of about €150K. Its portfolio of more than 1,000 companies includes Mistral AI, Deel, Alan, Pigment, Pennylane, Photoroom, Airbyte, Agicap, Sorare and PayFit, and its exits include Wise (London Stock Exchange listing, 2021) and Zenly (acquired by Snap, 2017).
