IBIONS (Instituto Biomédico de Nutrición y Salud) is a Paterna-based digital health company that gives cancer patients personalised medical nutrition. The goal is to make hospital treatments work better, reduce their side effects and improve quality of life. Patients get online consultations with a medical-scientific team, personalised nutrition plans and continuous follow-up through its IBIONS360 app. The company is building Onconourish, an AI tool that makes nutritional recommendations from each patient's clinical history, and runs a pilot with Hospital Servet in Zaragoza and clinical studies with the Instituto Valenciano de Oncología. It was founded in 2021 by Sara Bañón Escandell and Julio Madrigal-Matute as a spin-off of the Universitat de València, went through the Lanzadera accelerator, and has been funded through public programmes, including €180,000 from the Horizon Europe Foodity programme and EOI's Activa Startups.
