AllPriv is a cybersecurity start-up that protects medical devices and critical hospital systems from cyberattacks. Its main product, Cyber-Brick, is a hardware security module managed by AI and decentralised with blockchain. It sits in front of medical devices without any change to their software, so critical communications such as ICU monitor alerts keep flowing even when a hospital network is compromised. It also helps device makers meet the EU's cybersecurity requirements for medical device certification. Founded in 2017 by Mickael Leal in Occitanie, France, the company is now based at Pier Healthtech on the Tech Barcelona campus. It holds several international patents and won CES Innovation Awards in 2019 (cybersecurity) and 2023 (digital health), the EU Seal of Excellence and INCIBE's Most Investible Project award. It raised a pre-seed round of about $150,000 in 2022.
