Nextmol (legal name Bytelab Solutions S.L.) is a Barcelona-based deep tech company and spin-off of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) that builds NEXTMOL Lab, a cloud SaaS platform combining physics-based molecular modelling, AI and high-performance computing to run 'in silico' experiments for the specialty chemicals industry. It targets R&D of sustainable chemicals — especially complex polymer and surfactant chemistries — claiming multi-fold cost and time savings by characterising molecules without physical synthesis. Founded in 2019 by two BSC researchers, it closed its first VC round in May 2024 led by ACT Venture Partners, and works with partners/customers including Repsol, L'Oréal, Clariant, NVIDIA and AWS.
