LLICO Cosmetics
LICO Cosmetics (from "Laboratorio de Ingeniería Cosmética") is a Seville-based, digital-native D2C skincare brand that formulates, manufactures and sells its own engineered cosmetic treatments — facial, body and hair care — exclusively through its e-commerce site. Founded and led by chemical engineer Estefanía Ferrer, a former Airbus materials-quality manager who went full-time on the business in 2020, it built an in-house R&D team of women engineers and grew 450% in 2022 before raising its first external round of €1M from Bewater Funds in July 2023 (Bewater took ~15%); it also passed through Juan Roig's Lanzadera accelerator. Reported revenue grew from ~€2M (2022) to ~€6M (2023), with roughly 40-45 employees and international expansion starting in Portugal.
