Optidel Biosystems is a Basque deep-tech biotechnology company founded in 2023 as a spin-off of the GAIKER Technology Centre (BRTA), based at the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park in Zamudio. It has a patented delivery/solubilisation platform that turns poorly soluble natural actives — polyphenols such as ferulic acid, quercetin, luteolin or mangostin — into stable, clear, high-bioavailability ingredients for aqueous systems, and sells both custom cosmetic ingredients/formulations and technology licences to cosmetics, dermatology, pharma and functional-food companies. It was incorporated by institutional shareholders (Fundación GAIKER ~60% and Sistemas de Biotecnología y Recursos Naturales S.L. ~40%) under the Basque Tek Ventures venture-builder programme, and has 2-10 employees.
