Pharmacelera is a Barcelona-based deep tech company that builds computer-aided drug design software combining quantum-mechanics algorithms, machine learning and high-performance computing (its "QaiM" engine) to find and optimise molecular drug candidates. Its products include PharmScreen, exaScreen and PharmQSAR, sold via licences plus computational chemistry services to pharma, biotech, CROs and research institutes; the technology derives from 25+ years of research at the University of Barcelona. Founded in 2015 and based at the Parc Científic de Barcelona (~28 employees), it raised a €6M round in February 2026 led by Heran Partners to fund US expansion.
