Union Avatars (legal entity Linking Realities, SL) built a selfie-to-3D avatar engine: users uploaded a single 2D photo and the platform generated a photorealistic full-body 3D avatar, delivered to developers via API/SDK for use in video games, VR/AR apps, social platforms and Web3, plus tools like a GLB-to-VRM converter. Barcelona-based and seed-stage, it raised roughly €1.2M in September 2022 co-led by Inveready and FI Group, later adding strategic backing from Mango, and was named by Forbes Spain as one of the companies changing the world in 2023. The company has shut down.
