ACCIÓ

ACCIÓ is the Barcelona-based public agency of the Generalitat de Catalunya's Department of Business and Labour that supports business growth through innovation, internationalisation and business strategy, and it also operates as Catalonia Trade & Investment. It does not manage a venture fund. For early-stage technology companies incorporated in Catalonia, its Startup Capital programme gives non-repayable grants of up to €100,000 to start-ups less than 18 months old that have raised under €250,000. A co-investment line pairs grants and 10-year loans of €75,000–250,000 with rounds led by business angels or venture capital funds. ACCIÓ also runs the Barcelona & Catalonia Startup Hub directory, which has tracked the region's start-up ecosystem since 2016.
