OOpground
Opground is a Barcelona-based HR tech company that uses artificial intelligence to automate the first stage of hiring technical staff. Its chatbot, Opi, runs the first interview with software developers in place of a CV. Companies then receive matched candidate profiles in under five minutes, and candidates receive tailored job offers. In July 2024 it launched Merita, a SaaS assistant for recruitment agencies and IT consultancies that automates candidate screening and keeps their talent databases up to date. The company was founded in 2020 by Eduard Teixidó, Jordi Vall and Marcel Gozalbo. It has served more than 1,000 employers, including Naturgy, and by early 2023 it had made over 300 placements. It raised a first round of more than €500,000, led by FI Group, with public co-financing from ENISA, Neotec and Startup Capital de Acció.
