Proppos (legal entity Digital Retail BCN, S.L.) is a Barcelona-based computer vision company that builds AI-powered self-checkout for hospitality and retail. Its flagship product, Proppos FastPay, uses deep learning food-recognition cameras to identify all items on a tray in about 0.3 seconds and charge automatically, with no barcodes or RFID tags — targeting self-service restaurants, canteens, grab-and-go stores, bakeries and travel venues such as airports and theme parks. It is seed-stage, having raised a €750K round led by BStartup (Banco Sabadell) with Wayra España, plus public co-funding from CDTI/NEOTEC and ACCIÓ Startup Capital; a capital increase was registered in January 2025.
