QQuevana
Quevana (formerly Vegetaleso, trading as Quevana – La Quesería Vegana) is a Spanish foodtech company from Segovia that makes organic, fermented and aged plant-based cheeses from just three ingredients: raw cashews, Himalayan salt and probiotics. Founded as a family business in late 2019 by Alejandro Álvarez with his mother and stepfather, it opened a 2,400 m² plant in Vallelado (Segovia) in a converted meat-processing facility, one of Europe's largest cashew-cheese production sites, with capacity for hundreds of thousands of units per month. It sells in Spain plus Jumbo in the Netherlands, Continente in Portugal and Germany, Qatar and Bahrain, and was named the startup with the greatest potential in Castilla y León at the CaixaBank EmprendeXXI awards. No priced VC round has been publicly announced.
