Bioflytech is a Spanish agtech company that breeds black soldier flies (Hermetia illucens) at industrial scale to produce sustainable insect-based protein meal, functional fats, and organic compost for animal feed. Founded in 2012 as a University of Alicante research spin-off, it operates a large production facility (including a 7,500 m² plant) and is now majority-owned by growth investor Moira Capital Partners, making it one of Europe's largest insect-protein producers.
